Grilling season is upon us so I thought I would bless all of you with my dry rub recipe. You can put this on any kind of chicken or pork. The longer the meat hangs out with this dry rub, the better. So here you go:
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 cup salt
- 1/4 cup paprika
- 1/4 cup onion powder
- 1/4 cup garlic powder
- 2 tablespoons of cayenne pepper
- 2 tablespoons of ground ginger
- 2 tablespoons of ground mustard
- 2 tablespoons of cumin
- 2 tablespoons of freshly ground black peppercorns
This makes enough for a couple two-tree racks of ribs. For those who like it on the spicier side, double up on the ginger and cayenne. I used this on some country style ribs and here’s how they came out:
