In honor of the Celtics somehow sneaking into the 2015 NBA Playoffs, I thought I would share some cultural moments in Celtics’ Playoff History.

3) The Greatest Game in NBA History
Game 5 of the 1976 NBA Finals: Celtics win 128-126 in triple overtime and would win Game 6 to take the championship. Jo Jo White dropped 33 and Cousy thought he had won the game on a runner but there was time on the clock. Suns’ Garfield Heard and hit a turn around jumper to force triple OT. But the Celts prevailed.

Game 7 of the 1965 Eastern Conference Finals: John Havlicek steals the ball the insure the victory, 110-109. What makes it even more legendary is Johhny Most’s radio call, “Havlicek stole the ball!”
