Sometimes a lot of alcohol can result in a savage mustache. Sometimes you just need to isolate yourself from the world, and grow a freaking mustache. And that is what Rust Cohle did in True Detective. He went from clean cut stud to savage slugger. Sometimes a mustache can describe how a person feels and Rust’s mustache did exactly that. He had changed as a person and a part of that change was growing a gnarly mustache.
