10) Christo’s Pizza
9) Antico Forno
93 Salem St North End (617) 723-6733
Crust is a little too hard. Only complaint. Other than that, the cheese is perfectly melted, and the sauce is flavorful
8) Sweet Tomatoes Pizza
Everywhere
I am a big fan of chunky tomatoes and thin sliced crust. If that floats your boat as well, than sail your boat over to Sweet Toms
7) Upper Crust Pizza
286 Harvard St, Brookline (617) 734-4900
The crust really is phenomenal. Usually a fan of thin crust pizza, the Upper Crust crust made me really contemplate my pizza preferences.
6) Pinos Pizzeria
Pino’s, 1920 Beacon St., Brighton. 617-566-6468.
One of the best thin slices I’ve ever had. Also helps that the majority of their business is to drunk kids…but still.
5) Regina Pizzeria
11 1/2 Thacher St., North End. 617-227-0765.
A staple in Boston, Regina did not make a name for themselves for no reason. Just a quality, large slice every time.
4) Shrimp Bella Venezia from Bertuccis
Everywhere
The best topped pizza in the biz.
3) Santarpios
111 Chelsea St., East Boston. 617-567-9871.
I strictly order Cheese from here, because it doesn’t get any better. They mixed a thin crust with a doughy crust and its incredible.
2) Francos Pizzeria
714- Moody St, Waltham, MA
Hard to find a better bang for your buck. 2 slices and a drink for 5 bucks…and these slices are mammoth. The cheese is always perfectly melted to the crust, and the pepperonis are perfectly in place as well.
1) Galleria Umbertos
289 Hanover St., North End. 617-227-5709
The Hole in the Wall Umberto’s is the winner of Boston’s Best Pizza. The traditional style square pizza has been absent from our culture for some while, but nobody tell Umberto’s that. It’s a thick crust, but it’s so airy and buttery that it actually completes the pizza. Of course the cheese is phenomenal and melted perfectly, but the sauce is what does it for me. homemade, a bit spicy, fresh basil and garlic in there….cmon now.
how about stella’s in watertown
