5) Martin Van Buren

This Bill Murray looking Charles is the only president whose first language isn’t English. He was a dutchman, and was known as Martin Van Ruin, because of his impact on the economy…

4) Chester Arthur

This Charles put the White House furniture up for auction, because he wanted to redecorate. He had no vice president, no inaugural address, and a questionable United States citizenship. Some believe he was actually Canadian. Regardless, his Charles impact is still felt, as he was the man who changed America’s timekeeping from military time to standardized time.

3) Harry S. Truman

Not only did this Charles fail at running 3 separate small businesses, but he also deceived the American public. The S. as his middle name does not stand for anything, he just used it to sound more sophisticated. Charles move.

2) Woodrow Wilson

His name was Woodrow, he couldn’t read until he was 11 years old, and he let flocks of sheep stay on the White House lawn. That’s when you know you’re a Charles.

1) George W. Bush

Probably the President most openly criticized for his Charlesness, George started off his Charles resume early, as he was the head cheerleader for his High School. He also holds the records for both highest approval rating, and lowest approval rating while in office. I won’t go into his political preferences, but I will quickly note that he does own some of the funniest quotes from a President:

“Rarely is the question asked: Is our children learning?” –Florence, South Carolina, Jan. 11, 2000″

“You work three jobs? Uniquely American, isn’t it!? I mean, that is fantastic that you’re doing that.” –George W. Bush, to a divorced mother of three, Omaha, Nebraska, Feb. 4, 2005
