I saw Moone’s take on this and I was honestly appalled. I pretty much have the same background as this kid and I feel zero sympathy for him. At the end of the day, I don’t think me, Moone, or even the government is in the rightful position to have an opinion on this.

What I mean is that, though this obviously affected the entire nation, think who it has affected the most… The families of the victims and those that thankfully survived. It is their opinions that matter most, in fact the federal prosecutors reached out to them for counsel whilst making their decision. The anger and pain they must feel, I don’t think I can fathom or truthfully would ever want to. Having said that if I were to put myself in their shoes, I’d want him chopped up and put in the marsh while being recorded by every news outlet in the world (especially Al Jazeera). Sending a message to all those even in the primitive stages of thinking of attacking us: you fuck with us, we’ll stop you 99.9% of the time. To the .1% , your disgraceful execution will be broadcast worldwide to show just how treacherous of a coward you really are.

Speaking on the fact that he’s just a kid, no. He was a kid before he decided to detonate a bomb on American soil, now he’s a terrorist and traitor. Like me, he won the lottery. Do you know how much it sucks to live in Chechnya? I don’t per say, but I imagine it is a whole lot like my homeland: miserable and hopeless. This is just another kid who doesn’t realize how fortunate his life was and decided to throw it all away, a motif I’ve noticed.
