Kendrick Lamar was nominated for seven Grammy’s. He won none.

Everyone, including Macklemore, who won four Grammy’s for his music, knows this is utter and complete bullshit. He even admits it in a text he sent to Kendrick after the show.

“You got robbed. I wanted you to win. You should have. It’s weird and sucks that I robbed you.”

Great job Grammy selectors! Mission accomplished! If, of course, that mission is to make yourselves look like tone-deaf drones who likely didn’t even listen to the music they chose to win. But, ya’know, whatever sells right? Jeez. It’s like these award shows aren’t even trying anymore. Check this. Even the winner of the award knew he didn’t deserve it.

Macklemore is pop/club music. Kendrick had the album of the year. It wasn’t close. Good Kid M.A.A.D City will go down in the history of rap as a legendary compilation of songs. Macklemore is a fad–who will be remembered for wearing weird clothes. That said; I have to give Macklemore props for recognizing who the real winner should have been.
