There is this myth, this hobgoblin inside of many individuals heads that is telling them that their weight problems will nullify if they start drinking Diet Coke as an alternative to regular soda or whatever their beverage of choice happens to be. Many of these people complain when inches from their waist are not eradicated after drinking diet coke.
Studies from Harvard Medical School showed that, in a study of over 3,000 women, kidney function started declining when women drank more than 2 diet sodas a day. An animal study from Purdue University showed that artificial sweeteners disrupt the body’s natural ability to regulate calorie intake. Essentially, hat means people who consume diet foods might be more likely to overeat, because your body is being tricked into thinking it’s eating sugar, and you crave more.
So for all of you jivelcakes out there who think your body is going to transfigure because you ingest diet coke, think again, sweetie. The infatuation with calorie intake and it’s consequences seems to be the American ethos of the twenty first century and that is my guess as to why the sales of Diet Sodas have skyrocketed. Get the facts straight, if you want to look like a burgah, ladies, the combination of exercise and nutrients is the path to get there, not cutting calories alone.
