Talk about a great American, what was not to love about Nelson Mandela? The guy was imprisoned in Africa for thirty years for a rape that he didn’t commit, he never complained, kept his mouth shut, got released, and then became an academy award-winning actor. What a compelling fucking story.  I get chills just thinking about it.

Here’s to one of the all-time greats on-screen. A true hero with a legendary voice. Shawshank Redemption is still a top ten film and we have Mandela to thank for that. RIP
